DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANYTISSIUM is a mission-driven medical
device company founded in 2013, headquartered in Paris, with a
production facility in Roncq (near Lille) and an office in Boston.
We are dedicated to creating a new era of body repair by leveraging
our biopolymer platform to develop new, innovative solutions in
surgery for a positive impact on patients' lives.Our technology is
based on research and intellectual property from the laboratories
of Professor Robert Langer (MIT) and Professor Jeffrey M. Karp
(Brigham and Women's Hospital), who co-founded the company with
Christophe Bancel (CEO) and Maria Pereira (Chief Innovation
Officer).We are developing polymers for atraumatic tissue repair in
various applications. Today, these polymers are used for
structureless nerve repair, hernia repair, and cardiovascular
sealing.Since our inception, we have raised a total of 170 million
euros. Our latest fundraising round, which concluded in April 2023,
resulted in 50 million euros in additional funding. This infusion
of capital provides us with the necessary resources to finance the
commercialization of our first products.CONTEXTAt TISSIUM, we are
pioneering the future of tissue reconstruction with our innovative
platform of biomorphic programmable polymers. We are in the process
of building a strong presence in the US market to support our first
US product launch and are looking for a dynamic, organized, and
resourceful Chief of Staff to enable the US affiliate's growth.
This role will serve as the interface between TISSIUM's global
headquarters in Paris and the US team, ensuring smooth coordination
and facilitation of back-office activities including HR, Finance,
IT, Legal, Travel, and Administrative functions.The Chief of Staff
will be the local representative and face of TISSIUM Inc. at our
CIC office in Cambridge, MA, responsible for driving operational
excellence and supporting the field activities of the Sales and
Clinical Operations teams. They will play a pivotal role in
onboarding new joiners, driving the scale-up in the US, and
managing local relationships with suppliers and partners.This role
requires a highly cross-functional professional who is proactive,
detail-oriented, and has a strong sense of service. The ideal
candidate will have the capacity to organize, execute, and
influence activities, ensuring that all US and EU teams are
seamlessly connected and supported.RESPONSIBILITIESOperational
Management and Team Support:
- Act as the main point of contact between Paris HQ and the US
team, coordinating and facilitating back-office activities related
to HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and Travel.
- Ensure smooth daily office operations and provide on-site
support to employees at the CIC office in Cambridge, MA and remote
employees in the US.
- Facilitate local support for Sales and Clinical Operations,
including scheduling and field activity coordination.
- Manage the onboarding process for new joiners, ensuring all
practical arrangements are made and employees are well-integrated
into the team.
- Lead all internal and external communication activities for the
US affiliate.
- Manage social media and website with the communication
team.Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Oversee relationships with key local suppliers for HR, IT, and
Finance services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements as needed to optimize costs
and ensure high quality service delivery for everything from travel
to banking and HR benefits for employees.Special Projects and
Events:
- Leverage resources and liaise with internal stakeholders to
implement company policies and processes effectively.
- Organize and execute local events including investor meetings,
and activities to support team engagement and represent TISSIUM's
brand.
- Manage special projects and ad hoc requests as directed by the

BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, HR,
or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a highly
dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a
hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with
project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management and contract
negotiation.
- Familiarity with HRIS, Finance, and IT systems.Nice to have:
- Experience working in a start-up or rapidly scaling
environment.
- Previous experience in a Med Tech, Life Sciences, or Healthcare
